2014 - Beyond Rubik’s Cube Installation

My first project at MPC was for the Rubik’s Cube exhibition at the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, which would be the first installation exhibitors to the museum would walk through on the way in. No pressure! We created a generative, interactive installation using Microsoft Kinects and a Cinder codebase. Some of our challenges included having to construct rigs approximating a museum entryway in order to test, building an installation that could eventually travel with the rest of the exhibition, and refining all functionality onsite in the last few days before launch.
